Why do people give a title to their post ? Narrows our perspective to start with.

Identification!-in the same way,why do you and i need a name?Maybe it adds some spice to our thoughts..for example,your question 'Why do people give a title to their post?' unlocks a sleeping idea somewhere at that back of my mind and gets me thinking(:-) something which i rarely do).Maybe 'a title to a post' does just that...it unleashes the mind from its boundaries and make us think.Not necessarily just in one direction...
Somehow i dont seem convinced. Not to contradict what the two of you have to say about this, but i feel in both cases, we are looking at consistency at some level. You konw, at another point in time i might have something more, or less, to say about what i've written. At best, i think titles are misleading. If not now, definitely later.
